12.11.2007 - MX Award: VON ARDENNE honored as „Best SME“

On Friday, November 9, VON ARDENNE was honored as "Best SME" within the framework of the „MX Award“ benchmarking comparison. „MX“ stands for „Manufacturing Excellence“ and - originating from Great Britain - has established in Germany for three years. Process innnovation, customer orientation, Product innovation, Best SME and Overall Winner of the MX Award form the categories for which prizes are awarded.

The competition centers around a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of all candidates by a qualified jury. In the frame of a benchmarking comparison several activities are on the agenda: Each year in November the respective Best Practice Concepts of the industry are presented and honored. The MX Benchmarking Tour which takes place in the second quarter of the year following the award, offers the possibility to visit the prize winners. Overall winner of the Year 2007 is the Mercedes engine production in Untertürkheim. 'Financial Times Deutschland' is the official media partner of the competition.

Best Practice solutions have been honored for about a quarter century in Great Britain. The MX Award is a highly distinguished and appreciated award there . Winners among others are such well-known companies as Land Rover, Ford Motor or FG Wilson.
