31.01.2008 - Laying of the foundation stone for new industrial building at business park Dresden-Weissig

Mid-November 2007, the ground-braking ceremony took place at the 9,000 sqm premises of VON ARDENNE at the business park in Dresden-Weissig. Another industrial building will be erected here with a total useful area of 4,740 sqm.

Capital expenditure amounts to EUR 11.2 million. On 30 January 2008, the foundation stone was laid. Upon completion of the building, VON ARDENNE will dispose of a production area of all in all 17,400 sqm at its premises in Weissig.

Background for this development is the continuing high demand for equipments for thin-film photovoltaics and the architectural glass business. The first assembly hall therefore will have to be completed in July and the whole complex by the end of the 1st quarter 2009.
