A new industrial building providing 4,740 sqm of floor space and more than 120 workplaces is currently erected in the Dresden-Weissig business park. Capital expenditure amounts to approx. EUR 11 million.

With Dr. Peter Lenk retiring from the management of VON ARDENNE Anlagentechnik, the two-year process of securing succession within the corporate management was completed at year-end 2007. In 2006 already, Robin Schild (45) had taken over the management of the company as CEO. Together with Dr. Peter Lenk he has started to strategically realign the corporation. In May 2007, Tino Hammer (34) joined VON ARDENNE management as the new CFO.

On 20 November, the observatory „Manfred von Ardenne“ located at Plattleite 27 within the corporate premises was reinaugurated after 10 years of hibernation and reopened to the public. The restauration of the observatory took place in the frame of the activities on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the company's founder Manfred von Ardenne which VON ARDENNE commemorates in 2007.

On Friday, 9 November, VON ARDENNE Anlagentechnik GmbH was honored with the 1st place position in the "Best SME" category of the benchmarking competition „MX Award“. „MX“ stands for „Manufacturing Excellence“ and came - originating from Great Britain - to Germany three years ago. Process innnovation, customer orientation, product innovation, Best SME and Overall Winner of the MX Award are the categories for which prizes can be won.

In 2007, the Dresden engineering company VON ARDENNE Anlagentechnik GmbH commemorates the 100th birthday of its founder and namesgiver Manfred von Ardenne. On this occasion an International Festive Colloquium took place on 10 September 2007 welcoming customers and business partners of the company.
